MOUNTAIN BIKES AND TRAILS

30 Mountain bikes available. Bikes are mainly for Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and leaders. A few older Cubs may be large enough to use the few smaller bikes.

The trails are marked and traverse the hills and bridges of the camp.

Some of the trails follow the existing         hiking/walking trails. The NORTH Trail is the easier trail and may be used by first time bikers. The SOUTH trail is quite challenging with hills,       bridges and sharp turns. This trail is better used by experienced bikers or those developing skills.

Leaders and youth are expected to         learn how to manage the bike and make simple repairs. Bikes must be signed out and in and returned in good condition for the next users.

An Information Sheet is emailed to the Contact leader before the camp.

$5.00 per person per program period

NOTE: Please book the number of bikes you require.

ZIP LINE

The Zip line is next to Sylvan House. It has two lines. The helmets, gloves and harnesses are stored in Sylvan House. Each group using the Zip line must have a  Zip line Supervisor plus additional assistants trained in the safe and appropriate methods of dismount from the line.

Camp Sylvan has a list of trained scouters. Please contact Nancy Claus at nanandjay@sympatico.ca for names to contact. Cubs, Scouts and Venturers may use the Zip Line. There are weight restrictions in effect.         An Information Sheet is emailed to the Contact leader before the camp.
